Wateringbury Scouts at England v Argentina!

Wateringbury Scouts and Cubs, who have recently registered for a local rugby link, were invited to attend the England vs Argentina match on 23rd November.

A group of 23 youth members and 6 leaders travelled by train from Paddock Wood, joining more than 80,000 fans at the stadium. The atmosphere was electric, and although most of England’s scoring took place at the opposite end of the pitch, the group thoroughly enjoyed the match and the experience of being part of such a large crowd.

After the game, the Scouts and Cubs paused at Waterloo station for a well-earned McDonald’s before continuing their journey home, arriving back around 10pm, tired but delighted after a fantastic day out.

The Group Leaders would highly recommend making use of the Scouting link with local rugby clubs to other groups looking for exciting opportunities.
