Youth Shaped Scouts is all about young people working in partnership with adults, allowing young people to speak up, be heard, and work towards something they are passionate about.
We want every young person to shape their own adventure, take on responsibility, develop skills, make decisions and influence their programme and experience. The more young people are involved in shaping Scouts, the more they will get out of it, and the more likely they are to stay, do well and achieve their top awards.
YouShape Award
At Scouts, young people learn how to speak up and take the lead. But they told us that the programme didn’t recognise this enough. That’s what the new YouShape Award is all about.
The YouShape Award makes it even easier to embed being youth shaped into your programme. At the same time, it’ll help young people work with their leaders to learn leadership skills that they’ll use for the rest of their lives.
