About us

Our Trustee Board

The District Trustee Board is made of up to 12 members, including the Chair, the Treasurer, the District Lead Volunteer, and the District Youth Lead.

The Trustee Board meets six times a year to ensure that everything operates safely, legally, and financially sound, while also securing the resources Maidstone West Scouts needs to thrive now and in the future.

The Board is supported by a dedicated Risk Management Sub-Committee, which reports to them, allowing the Trustees to stay focused on their core responsibilities and keep meetings streamlined and efficient.

What Trustees do?

The Trustee Board is a team of volunteers who work together as charity trustees to ensure Maidstone West Scouts is managed safely and legally. Their primary focus is on strategy, performance, and assurance. Strong governance by the Trustee Board supports our volunteers in delivering exceptional programmes that equip young people with valuable skills for life.
