Scouts Try Scuba Diving at Mote Park!

Scouts from across Maidstone West enjoyed an exciting try-scuba session organised in partnership with Blue Ocean Diving at Maidstone Leisure Centre.

The event gave Scouts the opportunity to experience scuba diving in a safe and controlled environment. Under the guidance of qualified instructors from Blue Ocean Diving, participants were introduced to scuba equipment, underwater communication and essential diving safety procedures before entering the pool.

After completing their training, Scouts put their new skills into practice in the water. For many, it was their first experience breathing underwater using scuba equipment, making the session both challenging and memorable. As their confidence grew, participants learned how to move comfortably beneath the surface and gain a better understanding of the sport.

The session provided a taste of recreational scuba diving while encouraging confidence, resilience and a spirit of adventure. The event was a great success and offered Scouts an unforgettable introduction to the exciting world of underwater exploration.
