District Beaver Watersports Morning

Ahead of the half-term break, Beavers from Maidstone West enjoyed a fun-filled morning on the water at Mote Park on Saturday 23rd May.

The session began with an hour of bell boating, where everyone had the opportunity to try paddling under the guidance of Stuart and his team. The Beavers had great fun racing each other before taking part in games such as Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and several rounds of Over and Under, all designed to help develop their balance and teamwork on the water.

After all the excitement in the bell boats, it was time to take to the lake in the swan and dragon pedalos. The Beavers took turns steering and pedalling, making the most of the beautiful weather before heading home to enjoy the rest of the day in the glorious sunshine.
