Young Leaders Attend First Aid Masterclass

Explorers from four of the Explorer Units in the District attended the County Young Leader: First Aid Masterclass to complete their Young Leader Module K.

The four Explorers from Paragon, Scylax, Wanderers and Xavier spent the day at Lower Grange Farm learning life saving first aid skills alongside Explorers from across Kent.

The training day covered:

• Unconscious Casualties
• Unconscious & Not breathing Casualties
• Bleeding
• Burns
• Heat Exhaustion 
• Hypothermia 
• Chocking
• Asthma Attacks 
• Heart Attacks
• Head Injuries 
• Epilepsy & Seizures 
• Suspected Spinal Injuries 
• Broken Bones
• Sprains & Strains
• Meningitis 

Each of the Explorers earned their Emergency Aid Stage 4, as well as completing Module K of the Young Leader Scheme.
